What's the story behind why you started your business?

We are now in our 23rd year of operation. We are Muskoka’s Premier full service, gourmet food retailer. We feature an in-house bakery, butcher shop, seafood store, and we offer all kinds of fresh produce, prepared foods, cheese, deli gourmet grocery, and much more. Sourced directly from over 75 growers and makers, most of them are from Canada. Our store is often referred to as one of the best curated stores in Ontario. Our customers tell us that every day!

What can customers expect when they come to your business? 

Customers trust us for expert knowledgeable, friendly service, and unique and outstanding quality food, products, and ingredients. Surprises include many very rare and unique products, sourced from around the world. In some cases we are the only retailer in Ontario with these items. You may also be surprised to know that we have an extensive prepared food and catering offering. Also, our bakery is renowned for our fresh baked loaves and many sweet items.

Can you share an insider tip about your neighborhood?

We love being part of the Port Carling, Muskoka community. We are actively involved in all kinds of aspects of the community, including charitable giving. Our head chef David, who lives in the area, is an expert on fun and interesting things to do in Muskoka. Look for him in the meat and seafood shop!

Are you working on anything new?

This summer, we are featuring two satellite sales venues, one being Mortimers Point Marina and the other being Muskoka Crossing Torrance General store. We will have an assortment of fresh, frozen and shelf stable products available for purchase at these locations.
